- All of the above details of a minor in your legal care, if you are a parent / guardian assisting an enrolment applicant that is a minor

How do we receive information about you?
We receive your information when you voluntarily provide it to us

- To enrol yourself or a minor in your legal care in the M.I. and/or the Knights at the Foot of the Cross
- To send messages, questions, comments, or suggestions through our contact form

We do not

- To confirm with you your enrolment or that of a minor in your legal care into the M.I. and/or the Knights at the Foot of the Cross
- To keep you informed about our latest updates and events

How do we safeguard your information?
Our website provider offers industry-standard site security. Only the M.I. Enrolment Officer in Great Britain and Ireland and approved, trained assistants can access user responses to our enrolment forms and contact form.
Although we have taken reasonable steps to safeguard information, we cannot be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorised access or abuse our Site, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we can prevent such access.

Retention
We will retain personal information submitted through our enrolment forms for as long as you choose to remain a member of the M.I. (which we presume unless informed explicitly otherwise). We will retain personal information submitted through our contact form for 1 year after we last respond to you or act upon your message, whichever is later.
We may rectify or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.
Marketing
We may use your Personal Information such as your name, contact details, etc., for the purpose of providing you with promotional materials concerning the M.I., which we believe may interest you. While we may advertise products, services, and events in our marketing material, your personal information is
not
given to the product, service, or event providers.
To respect your right to privacy, within such marketing materials we will provide you with the means to opt out of receiving further marketing offers from us. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address or telephone number from our marketing distribution lists. Please note that even if you have unsubscribed from receiving marketing emails from us, we may send you other types of important email communications without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them. These may include customer service announcements or administrative notices.
Safeguarding
As the Special Delegate for the M.I. in Great Britain and Ireland is a Conventual Franciscan, we adhere to the safeguarding policies of Order of Friars Minor, Conventual. In particular, we understand the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. While children aged 7 and above can join the M.I., this Site is not designed for or directed at minors. Under no circumstances shall we allow enrolment by children under the age of 16 into the M.I. and/or Knights at the Foot of the Cross without prior written
consent
from a parent or guardian.
If we receive an enrolment form from a minor without (1) the contact information of their parent or guardian and (2) being able to reach said parent or guardian using the provided information within two
attempts within 48 hours, we will immediately delete the application (i.e., not store the child's Personal Information). If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, please contact us at contact[at]militiaoftheimmaculata.co.uk.
Third-party collection of information
Our policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties or websites throughout the internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. Accordingly, we encourage you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each third party that you choose to disclose information to.
