‘Dedicate yourself completely to your own spiritual life,

so that you may give yourself completely to all

by way of overabundance’

(Kolbe Writings 980)

In recognizing that the true missionary is one committed to the way of holiness, the M.I. affirms the pre-eminence of the interior life. Below are resources for enrolling in the M.I., preparing for Total Consecration, and continuing personal formation after Consecration.

  • M.I. Act of Consecration in Latin

    V. Dignare me laudare Te, Virgo Sacrata.

    R. Da mihi virtutem contra hostes Tuos.

  • M.I. Act of Consecration in English

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you.

I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property.  Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.

If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: 'She will crush your head,' and 'You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world.' Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

    V. Allow me to praise you, O Sacred Virgin.

    R. Give me strength against your enemies.

  • Knights Act of Consecration in English

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, health of the sick, and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. You stood at the foot of the Cross, uniting yourself with the sufferings of Jesus, and so you became for all the Church a model of compassion.

I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property.  Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my daily sufferings and crosses, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.

If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: 'She will crush your head,' and, 'You alone have destroyed all heresies in the world.'  Through my prayers and sufferings, let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.  For wherever you enter, you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

    V. Allow me to praise you, O sacred Virgin.

    R. Give me strength against your enemies.

  • M.I. Daily Renewal Prayer

Immaculata, Queen and Mother of the Church, I renew my consecration to you this day and for always, so that you may use me for the coming of the Kingdom of Jesus in the whole world. To this end I offer you all my prayers, actions, and sacrifices of this day. Amen.

  • Knights Daily Renewal Prayer

Immaculata, Mother of the Church, I renew my self-consecration to you as a Knight at the Foot of the Cross. I desire to magnify the Lord with you this day in a special way by offering you my sufferings. Joined with you in faith at the foot of Christ’s Cross, may I ever be an unselfish instrument for the spread of the Militia of the Immaculata movement and the growth of the Church. Amen.

  • Miraculous Medal Prayer

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you and for all those who do not have recourse to you, especially the enemies of Holy Church and all those recommended to you. Amen.

  • Monthly M.I. Prayer Intentions

These are the monthly prayer intentions for 2025 from the Militia of the Immaculata International:

    1. January: That in the 2025 Jubilee Year, our souls may become always more beautiful
    2. February: That our every action may spring from love of God and neighbour and build peace.
    3. March: That all those who have not received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for quite some time, in the Jubilee Year may decide to experience the joy of placing themselves in the hands of God’s mercy
    4. April: That the sick and suffering may never doubt the power of trust-filled prayer to you.
    5. May: That the sick and suffering may never doubt the power of trust-filled prayer to you.
    6. June: That we may be ever more passionate about the Sacrament of the Eucharist and be able to witness its transforming power.
    7. July: That we may be able to seek not so much to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love
    8. August: That young people may discover what God is calling them to and be able to prepare well for their mission.
    9. September: That we may care for the beauty of creation, which is a gift from the Infinite God.
    10. October: That missionaries may have good health and strength to preach the Gospel effectively in every corner of the world
    11. November: That we may be guided by you in every situation, now and at the hour of our holy death.
    12. December: That Advent and Christmas seasons may be times to deepen our relationship with you and your Son.
  • Monthly Papal Prayer Intentions

These are the monthly prayer intentions for 2025 from the Holy Father Pope Francis:

    1. January: For the right to an education. Let us pray for migrants, refugees and those affected by war, that their right to an education, which is necessary to build a better world, might always be respected.
    2. February: For vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Let us pray that the ecclesial community might welcome the desires and doubts of those young people who feel a call to serve Christ’s mission in the priesthood and religious life.
    3. March: For families in crisis. Let us pray that broken families might discover the cure for their wounds through forgiveness, rediscovering each other’s gifts, even in their differences.
    4. April: For the use of the new technologies. Let us pray that the use of the new technologies will not replace human relationships, will respect the dignity of the person, and will help us face the crises of our times.
    5. May: For working conditions. Let us pray that through work, each person might find fulfilment, families might be sustained in dignity, and that society might be humanized.
    6. June: That the world might grow in compassion. Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his Heart, learn to have compassion on the world.
    7. July: For formation in discernment. Let us pray that we might again learn how to discern, to know how to choose paths of life and reject everything that leads us away from Christ and the Gospel.
    8. August: For Political Leaders. For mutual coexistence. Let us pray that societies where coexistence seems more difficult might not succumb to the temptation of confrontation for ethnic, political, religious or ideological reasons
    9. September: For our relationship with all of creation. Let us pray that, inspired by Saint Francis, we might experience our interdependence with all creatures who are loved by God and worthy of love and respect.
    10. October: For collaboration between different religious traditions. Let us pray that believers in different religious traditions might work together to defend and promote peace, justice and human fraternity.
    11. November: For the prevention of suicide. Let us pray that those who are tempted to commit suicide might find the support, care and love they need in their community, and be open to the beauty of life.
    12. December: For Christians in areas of conflict. Let us pray that Christians living in areas of war or conflict, especially in the Middle East, might be seeds of peace, reconciliation and hope.

This is the official website of the Militia of the Immaculata National Centre in Great Britain and Ireland. We are the only formally recognised centre in Great Britain and Ireland of the M.I. International. If you are normally resident in North America or Australia, please enrol with our counterparts in the United States of America, Canada, and Australia. Please click here for a copy of the M.I. General Statutes.

The M.I. (GB & Ireland) is a volunteer-run non-profit, i.e, no one volunteering for us receives a wage from the apostolate. To further our Marian work and evangelising outreach, we are entirely reliant upon donations, bequests, and endowments. Should you wish to financially support us, please get in touch.

As the Special Delegate for the M.I. (Great Britain & Ireland) is a Conventual Franciscan, we adhere to the safeguarding policies of the Order of Friars Minor, Conventual

Please also note that the Militia Immaculatae of Traditional Observance is run by the Society of Saint Pius X, which is a Catholic group not in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. The MI-TO is thus not historically or canonically connected with the Official M.I. Also, the Mission of the Immaculate Mediatrix, which is attached to the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, is similar in structure to the M.I., but is not associated with it.
